Early return

If you need your vehicle for less than the end of the rental period specified in the rental data, you can return it to the Hertz station. We ask that you give advance notice of the early return. 

In the event of an early return of a subscribed vehicle (long-term rental):

  • When returned within 30 days from the start of the contract, the subscription contract will be converted into a normal rental contract and the rate for daily rentals will be applied for the complete period of use.
  • For returns from the 31st day, a flat rate of 50% of the outstanding fees will be charged until the end of the regular contract period.

Fees for rentals with the «pay now» option

In the event of an early return, a refund for unused rental days is excluded.

Fees for rentals with the «pay later» option

In the event of an early return, we will charge a flat fee of CHF 50.00 excl. tax to partially compensate the additional administrative costs incurred as well as the loss of the unused rental days.
