Emergencies
Accident
If you are involved in an accident with your rental car, immediately alert the police and, if necessary, the emergency services (the international short code for emergency calls is 112). You must also contact our emergency call center, +41 (0)84 480 42 00, as soon as possible.
In any case, fill in an European Accident Statement (EAS) form, even if you cannot see any damage to the vehicle or if the other party is no longer present. This form can be found in the vehicle or obtained at the return. Hand the completed form to a Hertz employee.
Important: Do not make any verbal or written statements regarding fault at any time. Just take the names and addresses of everyone involved, including witnesses, and collect the information requested on the EAS.
