Authorized driver(s)

In order to drive a rental car from Hertz Switzerland, you must be at least 19 years old at the time of vehicle pickup and have held a valdid Driver's License besitzen. For some vehicle categories, the minimum age is 25 and you must have held a valid Driver's License for at least three years.

In principle, only the person who registers as the main driver during the rental is authorized to drive the vehicle. If other persons wish to drive the rental car, they can be registered as additional drivers at the time of pick-up for a fee. Please note that all drivers to be registered must meet the respective model-specific minimum requirements.
